A Goole/Scunthorpe Barbarians squad travelled to Queen Ethelburgas College on Saturday the 14th March where they would face tough opposition in the form of York, Wetherby and Queen Ethelburgas. All 3 of these teams entered an A and a B side. Goole/Scunthorpe ( 5 players from each team ) from the first game looked like they had been playing together for years and they went from strength to strength through the tournament. Goole/Scunthorpe eventually beat Wetherby A in the semi final in convincing fashion and then went on to beat York A by a margin of 38-14 to take the trophy which was presented by ex professional player Henry Paul. Overall this was a great day with every player performing to the best of his ability which resulted in a well deserved victory.
