So we welcome Cockermouth to Westfield Banks for the QF of the counties championship.
It’s now the business end of the season and having been here a couple of times before, we can taste Twickenham - or is it Sixways, the StoneX or the Northern Echo Arena?? Who knows? Whether this competition sits well at the end of the season is up for debate but we come into this game having won the league, remain unbeaten at home with an average points per game of 34.77, the longest winning streak in the league at 12 games, a points total of 765 and generally in pretty good nick.
Our opponents today may have something to say about the result having finished 2nd in their own league with a very similar record to us and having seen off Upper Eden who won their league in Round 1 and West Hartlepool last week in Round 2 of this competition. A mouthwatering contest is on the cards.
