Goole 2nds entertained Old Brodleians 2s in a friendly fixture at Westfield banks. With Goole’s injury crisis biting deep, Goole’s squad was a mix of regular 2nd team and 3rd team players, and whilst the visitors only had a bare 15 they were stronger all round and went on to win comprehensively 61-22. Despite the slightly one sided score line, Goole competed well but were out gunned in the end. Goole’s points came through tries for Dan Walker, James Donoghue, Jay Braithwaite and Harry Patrick, Tom Franks adding one conversion.
The fixture was sponsored by our neighbours from Westfield Park residential home and 30 or so residents, their family members and carers attended the game and enjoyed the game, some drinks and buffet. Picture shows some of the attendees with some of the club members.
